The Team
Ashish Deora (Founder Promoter) - Bachelors degree of Commerce from Calcutta University. Is the founder Promoter of tagg.in. Ashish Deora has successfully promoted IOL Broadband Limited, which started its operations in July 2000 and has a current market capitalization of INR 15 bn. IOL Broadband Limited was the first company to create a structured Metropolitan Area Network across Mumbai, through underground Optic Fiber Cable Network. IOL Broadband Limited is currently the only company to launch IP-TV in the country with an exclusive arrangement with MTNL and BSNL to utilize their last mile access. Ashish Deora is also the founder promoter of Pan India Motors Pvt. Ltd which has acquired the Assets of Daewoo Motors India Ltd, situated in the NCR Region of India. The asset has been acquired at USD 191 Mn. The thrust of the Company will be to convert the Plant into a neutral product platform for large scale auto component manufacturing. The Company intends to use this plant to manufacture Engines, Transmissions and press components on lease manufacturing basis for domestic as well as overseas markets.
Vatsal Desai (CEO and Co-Founder)
- MS in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Worked at HP (Boston) for 4 years as Systems Engineer. Previously co-founded a successful cricket portal.
Saurabh Sangekar (Corporate Group Advisor) - Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Dharwad University, Karnataka. Has over 18 years experience in handling and managing large projects in the Telecom and IT sector. Has been involved in planning and creation of Telecom Infrastructure for semi government and private organizations which include VSAT's, Videoconferencing, TDMA Radios, Optic fibre Infrastructure etc. Will head the operations.
Shreerang Athalye (Corporate Group Advisor) - Mr. Athalye has an MBA and is a financial advisor. Co-founder of Asha Consulting, a business consulting firm based in Mumbai and Bangalore. Currently he is working with Argentum group on various Telecom related projects.
Mr. Athalye has served during 2000-2006 as the Chief Operating Officer and previously as the CFO, of Exatt Technologies Pvt. Ltd. an India-based company that provides broadband internet network services in 13 cities of India. In his roles he was in charge of finance, accounts, legal, and HR of the firm.
From 1999 to 2000, he served as CFO and Head of HR in Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd, a company that produces ready-made food for local and international markets.
From 1996 until 1999 he served as Finance Controller at J T Mobiles Ltd. in Bangalore, where he created a project funding Consortium of IDBI, IFCI & ABN Amro.
Mr. Athalye has served as a director in several companies including Spacecom Broadband Networks Ltd. (Delhi), Big Trading and Investments Pvt. Ltd. a Stock Exchange & Real Estate Trades company, and on Exatt Communications Pvt. an IT consulting and hardware distribution company.
Mr. Athalye received his MMS in Finance and his B. Com degree from Bombay University (SIMSR), (both degrees he graduated first in Class), He also works on innovation with aim of providing innovation on demand.
